Help for Bats in Somerset

There are several organisations and individuals in Somerset who take and care for injured bats.  Please contact them directly:

Frome Bat Care

Frome Bat Care is a rescue and care ‘hospital’ for grounded and injured bats. Their intention is to return bats back to the wild, preferably in the area they came from.

Secret World – East Huntspill, Highbridge

They work 8am to 8pm, 365 days a year to rescue sick, injured or orphaned wildlife. If you find an animal in need of urgent attention outside these hours please contact your nearest veterinary surgeon. The casualty will then be transported to Secret World the following morning for ongoing care.

West Hatch Wildlife Centre – Taunton

West Hatch Wildlife Centre in Taunton, Somerset treats thousands of animals from the far South West, the West Country and southern England every year.

The centre is open for admission of wildlife casualties 365 days a year from 8am – 9pm.  Out of hours, please call the 24-hour cruelty line: 0300 1234 999.
