At our annual meeting in April 2024, it was agreed that the bat group would grant free honorary lifetime membership to any active member who has held one of the officers posts (Vice/Chair/Sec./Tres.) for a year or more.
As such the following members have been granted honorary lifetime memberships:
- SBGH 003 – Edward Wells
- SBGH 030 – Dave Cottle
- SBGH 011 – Adel Avery
- SBGH 031 – Paul Kennedy
- SBGH 013 – Andy Avery
At the 2026 Annual meeting it was agreed that the group should regularly recognise people who have made an outstanding contribution to bat conservation, by awarding them Honorary Lifetime memberships of the group.
Daniel Hargreaves was nominated as the first recipient of the “outstanding contribution” award in April 2026.
