Bats in Churches – project finished

The Bats in Churches Project ran for 4 years from 2019 to 2022.  They asked us to help them to learn more about bats in churches, by taking part in one of the BCT’s two citizen science surveys:

  1. National Bats in Churches Study. We have 1000 priority churches, which have been randomly selected for this study. We need your help to survey as many as possible over the next four years (2019-2022). Find out more and take part this July.    Looking at the map it is difficult to see exactly how many priority Churches are in Somerset, but a rough estimate would be about 30.
  2. Church Bat Detectives (launched 2020). A slightly less detailed survey, which can be carried out at any church cared for by the Church of England.
